One more year

First of all, we wish you a happy new year and a very good 2010 year. As you have noticed from the update on our website, nothing really happens to Pelorea this year. Indeed, we were busy on another project which tool all our time and then it was very difficult to work at the same time on Pelorea and this project. We cannot say more on this project due to a non-disclosure agreement. The nice part of this work was that it allows us to develop some features for the current game engine we are using that we can use back in Pelorea and also other game projects.

So what will happen in 2010? Again, we have to say that we are completely dedicated to publish Pelorea. First quarter of 2010, we will publish an extension for the current game engine; which will be follow in the next quarter by first release of Pelorea: Tactical War. The game will be mainly tailored for web-platform and mobile platform.

So stay tuned in 2010, as more news will pop-up.

Porting Pelorea to T3D

T3DDuring the last three months, our team experienced a lot with the new release of Torque Game Engine: T3D. It helped us to have a better grip on this new engine and also to evaluate thoroughly efforts related to porting some code from TGEA to T3D. We even did a small game project in one week ExPylos in order to get a better knowledge of this engine.

Thanks to all those works and analysis, we decided recently to migrate our development of Pelorea: Tactical War from TGEA to T3D. It will give us the benefit of the following features for almost free: professional support of WebPlugin, advanced lightning system, better scalability for low performance computer and improvment in terms of speed.

As you have already realized, we just changed the complete layout of Pelorea: Tactical War website yesterday. This new layout is to be more integrated with our current company website like Darkhand Studio and TorqueLab. Moreover, this website will host all some e-Shop services allowing micro-transactions inside Pelorea game. It is just one of the many changes that are coming until GDC China exhibition this autumn.

Happy New Year 2009

01012009a

A new year is coming, and with this new year some new actions and resolutions. As you may have followed on our news, Pelorea: Tactical War has been delayed mainly because of a revamping of our source code, and also of a change in design regarding internet play for the game. You can see some of the web-plugin demonstration on our development website. Regarding the new demonstration release of Pelorea, you will have to still wait a bit as we are still working on it at different pace depending also on our other projects. As a teaser, here is a screenshot of our current build.
